This application is no longer available. Look for the new official I Can Has Cheezburger app. To avoid confusion, I have removed this application. You can now download I Can Has Cheezburger here.
I Can Has Cheezburger has many advantages over LOLcats. Instead of searching Flickr for public photos, which are often tagged incorrectly, it gets its content directly from I Can Has Cheezburger and the rest of the Cheezburger Network sites, including FAILblog, Pundit Kitchen, Engrish Funny, and ROFLrazzi. You can even save the pictures to your camera roll. It also has many user interface refinements, including a navigation bar that hides when you tap the screen.

Would be better if the images were grabbed at random and if you used images from canhazacheeseburger.com.

Actually, I’ve been asked to do the OFFISHUL LOLCATS application, which will get images from icanhascheezburger.com and related sites.
It isn’t possible to get the images at random from Flickr - I use the default date added order, but I could also use interestingness or relevance, although I suspect you won’t find new images too quickly.

Hmmm..thought this app would be great for the kids, but one of the first images has a cuss word on it, and is that an image of a DEAD cat in there?

Unfortunately I have very little control over which images appear. I simply search Flickr for images tagged LOLCats. You could always click the arrow to go to the Flickr page and flag the image as inappropriate.

For everyone to know.
That one pic of the deseased cat should no longer appear. I was able to convince the owner of the image to take off the lolcat tag
The app is now safe … for now.

When the new “official” app comes out, it might be best to change the name. Although the dead cat image will no longer appear now, and will never appear in the official app, the low reviews may be enough to push some people away from the app.
when I saw the image I was really put off by the app, but I also had a feeling that it wasn’t an organized list since not all of the images had captions, and honestly, most of the captions were not funny anyway. you guys must not have been happy about it either. sure its a free app, but bad publicity is still bad publicity.
As of right now, even though the tasteless image is no longer appearing in the app, I cannot recommend this app to anyone, simply because of the lack of humor or captions in most of the images. Just not up to the standards that “I Can Has” set.
HOWEVER, I do look forward to the official app. One request: Even if this feature was only put into a $1.99 Premium version of the app, please try to add caption editing and photo uploading from the iphone.
